Courtney received her Honours Bachelor Degree and Professional Diploma in Architectural Practice from Dublin School of Architecture in Bolton Street, Dublin 1. She is a member of the Royal Architects of Ireland since 2015.

Having previously worked on many high profile projects in Ireland, U.K, Ukraine and New York, Courtney has over 10 years of experience in the industry and has worked as Project Architect on a wide range of architecture and interior projects, both domestic and commercial.

Courtney is particularly interested in residential design, its scale, level of detail and the personal and collaborative relationship established between architect and client.

Her designs have been featured in various design publications including Architecture Ireland, Plan, Construction Ireland as well as in The Irish Independent and Irish Times.

Courtney finds design inspiration from many varied sources, from her home in Georgian Dublin, her upbringing on the West of Ireland, as well as on her travels both in Europe and further afield. Her other interests in fashion, art and craft all play a part in her design process and approach to form and structure.

Courtney received a Highly Commended Award in 2020 for Creative Woman of the Year at The Irish Woman Awards. She has written design articles for the Sunday Independent, Irish Tatler and The Sunday Business Post.
