OUR STORY

Courtney McDonnell Architects was founded in 2017 with one clear purpose - To create beautiful residential spaces that merge architecture and interior design into a cohesive, distinctive vision.

From our office on Duke Street in the heart of Dublin City, we imagine, invent, create, collaborate and execute unique, ambitious and considered architecture that is tailored to the individual lives of our clients.
As architects, our role covers the entire construction process, from initial pre-design phase, through the planning process, to tender negotiations, contract administration and on site management during the construction stage.
COURTNEY MCDONNELL
MRIAI P.DIP ARCH B.ARCH | CREATIVE DIRECTOR
After earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree and completing a Professional Diploma in Professional Practice at TU Dublin, Courtney established her design practice to bring a fresh approach to residential architecture.
Courtney values close collaboration with clients, ensuring their vision is at the heart of every design. Passionate about exploring new and interesting materials and methods, Courtney brings a playful yet thoughtful element to residential spaces, creating homes that are as unique as their inhabitants.

Courtney is involved in every project that the studio takes on, and particularly enjoys creating design concepts, imagining the initial architectural forms or configuration and oversees all of the projects at construction stage. Her love of beautiful joinery, finishes and furniture ensure a well considered and beautifully completed home for her clients.

Courtney loves working with older buildings, and her interest in restoration has led her to commence the study of Architectural Conservation with an aim to gain accreditation by Summer 2025.
